Conpower

CPP values a mutually beneficial partnership with vendors, fostering collaboration for achieving the best outcomes and strong professional relationships.

CPP takes enormous pride in its approach to engaging with external Vendors (external third parties, i.e. Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants, etc.). Our engagement methodology is a mutually beneficial partnering solution, not an “us and them” attitude. We collaborate closely with all Vendors to ensure mutual success in achieving the best outcomes for their businesses while prioritising the development of strong and professional relationships.

CPP invests extensive time in building sustainable relationships with all Vendors by focusing on:

As part of our Vendor engagements, we expect our people and all third parties engaged to act in a lawfully, ethically, and socially responsible manner, in accordance with our Code of Conduct.

Strategic Sourcing

CPP conducts various Project-specific and strategic sourcing activities (“RFx Events”), in the form of ‘Request for Quotations’ (“RFQ”), ‘Request for Tender’ (“RFT”), or ‘Request for Proposals’ (“RFP”), in segmented timings commensurate with our clients project and forecast needs.

Depending on the risk and value associated with the engagements, and in accordance with stringent internal operating procedures, we will select contractual terms and conditions that adequately cover both parties during the purchasing process. If necessary, CPP has a wide range of template subcontracts that reflect our standard purchasing requirements.

All Vendors participating in RFx Events must comply with the RFx Terms and Conditions, which will be issued to the elected Vendors for all sourcing activities.

Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery represents one of the world’s most important human rights issues that we face and global events including the recent pandemic and armed conflict, have compounded the issue. The construction industry is a high-risk sector due to large, diverse, and complex supply chains.

CPP acknowledges and understands the high risk nature of third party engagements in our industry and is closely working with major electrical equipment and construction partners to conduct supply chain mapping and understand and influence their policies and controls implemented to avoid and eliminate any perceived, potential or actual Modern Slavery breaches. We will also ensure that third party Subcontracts present evidence of mandatory Modern Slavery legislation criteria compliance.

CPP’s Modern Slavery actions and commitments are outlined in section 5 of the Modern Slavery Statement.

Reconciliation Australia

As members of both city and regional communities, it is crucial for CPP to foster strong relationships with First Nations communities.

CPP’s previous Reflective Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has allowed us to foster relationships and build further understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous) cultures to better reflect our community and service our stakeholders and customers.

Upon request, CPP can develop bespoke and comprehensive Indigenous Participation Plans for each project and client, which may reflect:

  • Localised community, groups, and stakeholder engagement methodologies
  • Supply chain collaboration and partnerships
  • Employment and cultural capability and awareness
  • Economic target achievement methodologies

CPP Procurement works closely with Indigenous engagement Consultants to further evolve the current RAP to reflect a new Indigenous Inclusion Framework. As part of our vendor engagements, we expect our people and all third parties engaged to act in a lawful, ethical, and socially responsible manner, in accordance with our Code of Conduct.

Sustainability

Quanta Services Incorporated (QSI) has developed a Sustainability Report reflective of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and post input from key stakeholders and a comprehensive materiality assessment, has set an effective ESG strategy and commitments to maximise impact.

Given the international footprint of QSI’s business operations, CPP Procurement is developing a CPP bespoke Social & Sustainable Procurement Framework commensurate with the Australian landscape, and will be available on this website once finalised and approved.
