Conpower

At CPP, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique talents and perspectives.

Being part of a great team means we collaborate, support, and celebrate each other’s successes. We believe in open communication, trust, and mutual respect, creating an environment where everyone feels heard and valued. Together, we tackle challenges head-on, leveraging our collective strengths to achieve remarkable results.

As part of our team, you are not just an employee; you are a valued member of a diverse and inclusive community. We believe that diversity strengthens us and inclusivity is our foundation. We actively seek out and embrace differences, knowing that it is through our collective experiences and backgrounds that we truly thrive.

We understand the importance of providing opportunities for growth and development. Whether it’s through apprenticeships, mentorship programs, ongoing training initiatives, or advancement pathways, we are committed to supporting our staff in realising their full potential.

We believe that investing in our people not only drives individual success but also strengthens our team as a whole.

At CPP, we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable future for generations to come. Our focus is on advancing renewable energy and minimising our environmental impact across all aspects of our operations.

We are committed to supporting Australia’s renewable future and actively reducing our carbon footprint. By offsetting 100% of our CPP vehicle emissions with GreenFleet, Australia’s first carbon offset provider, we uphold our commitment to sustainability. This effort is further supported by our annual carbon and waste reduction plans and our increasing investment in clean energy and renewable projects.

In addition to our focus on renewable energy, we are equally committed to minimising the environmental impacts of our operations. We adhere to rigorous environmental standards and continually strive to adopt sustainable practices throughout our supply chain, production processes, and waste management systems.

Through initiatives such as energy efficiency upgrades, waste reduction measures, and sustainable sourcing practices, we seek to minimise our environmental footprint and preserve natural resources for future generations.

Beyond our internal efforts, we actively engage with our stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and local communities, to promote environmental stewardship and raise awareness about the importance of sustainability. We believe that collaboration and collective action are essential for driving meaningful change and creating a more sustainable future.

At CPP, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a guiding principle that informs every decision we make.

We are committed to leading by example, inspiring others to join us in our journey towards a healthier planet and a brighter tomorrow.

Diversity and Inclusion

CPP is committed to providing an inclusive workplace that is free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment. We are committed to ensuring that all employees have equal access to employment opportunities within the workplace.

Our vision is to realise the value that the experience, skills, knowledge, and strengths of a diverse and inclusive workforce can deliver for our business. These benefits help us to build strong and lasting relationships with our colleagues and customers and also support an innovative culture that makes better decisions for our business.

We promote our core values, fostering respect, fair treatment, inclusivity and ensuring the wellness of our team.

We are dedicated to the fair and respectful treatment of all workers

To be intentional about bringing equity and diversity to our business.

To maintain industry best practices in association with CPP’s core values of teamwork, integrity, innovation, and sustainability

We actively pursue the best person for employment and promotion irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation

We are committed to continually improving employment practices to ensure flexibility in accommodating the changing needs of our workers

To achieve these principles, we:

  • Promote the need for a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Embrace responsibility and accountability.
  • Communicate the CPP Diversity and Inclusion Policy and related procedures to all workers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilise local communities and services where practicable.
  • Ensure decisions regarding recruitment, development, promotion, and remuneration are based on merit and without regard to race, religion, age, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery represents one of the world’s most important human rights issues that we face and global events including the recent pandemic and armed conflict, have compounded the issue. The construction industry is a high-risk sector due to large, diverse, and complex supply chains.

CPP acknowledges and understands the high risk nature of third party engagements in our industry and is closely working with major electrical equipment and construction partners to conduct supply chain mapping and understand and influence their policies and controls implemented to avoid and eliminate any perceived, potential or actual Modern Slavery breaches. We will also ensure that third party Subcontracts present evidence of mandatory Modern Slavery legislation criteria compliance.

CPP’s Modern Slavery actions and commitments are outlined in section 5 of the Modern Slavery Statement.

First Nations’ Engagements

Our Corporate Social Responsibility and Indigenous Inclusion Frameworks guide how we foster our relationships and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

By having this in place, we can better engage with the communities in which we operate and continue to be an employer of choice.

To assist in the implementation of ongoing involvement in Indigenous Inclusion, we have established a RAP Working Group (RWG) with participants from Senior Leadership, People & Culture, and the broader employee base.

CPP actively develops relationships with First Nations’ communities and businesses.

Foster relationships and build further understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities so to better reflect our community and service our stakeholders and customers

Explore and promote improved social outcomes, including but not limited to, economic opportunities, cultural heritage and environmental preservation and legacy building
